About Claspo Extension for Google Chrome

The Claspo extension allows you a fast and easy way to test your widgets on any website without having the Claspo script installed. While testing, the widget is only visible to you.

Downloading and Extracting the Claspo Extension

  1. Download the claspo_for_chrome.zip file to your computer.

  2. Extract the Claspo for Chrome folder from the ZIP archive to your preferred location.

Installing the Claspo extension

  1. Open your Google Chrome browser and go to chrome://extensions/.

  2. Enable Developer mode at the right-hand side top corner of the browser.

  3. Upload the Claspo for Chrome folder to your Google Chrome browser by dragging and dropping it to the Extensions page, or by clicking the Load unpacked button and selecting the folder.

    The Claspo extension appears on the Google Chrome Extensions page.

  4. Enable the toggle on the Claspo extension.

Activating Claspo script

To start displaying your widget on a site, you have to copy your Claspo script and paste it into the plugin.

  1. In the left panel, select My Project → Site Details → Install Script and click the Copy script icon.

  2. In the Google Chrome browser, go to a website where you want to publish your widget and open the Claspo extension in Chrome Extensions.

  3. Paste the script in the field and click the Add script button.

  4. In Claspo, create a widget, change its status to Published and click Save.

  5. Reload the page. The widget appears on the page in a short while, normally within a minute.

Note: In case your widget does not appear after publishing, check the widget triggering settings and change those that may block widget displaying.

You can test your widgets on that site at any time while the script is installed in the Claspo extension for Chrome.

Deleting Claspo script

You can delete the script from your Claspo extension if you wish to stop displaying your widget on the site.

Proceed as follows:

  1. In the Google Chrome browser, go to a website where you have your script installed and open the Claspo extension in Chrome Extensions.
    ​

  2. Click Delete Script.
    Your widget stops displaying on that site.
