In Claspo you can integrate widgets with your Beehiiv account to use the capabilities provided by both apps.

Adding the Beehiiv integration in Claspo

The following steps are required to integrate your Beehiiv account with Claspo:

Getting Beehiiv API key

You need to create and copy the Beehiiv API key to proceed with integration with the Claspo widget.

See Beehiiv API documentation to learn how to create an API key.

NOTE:

You can copy the API key in Beehiiv only when you have just created one. The key is not retrievable after you close the New API Key window.

You can connect the Beehiiv account to Claspo when:

To connect the Beehiiv account to Claspo:

When creating a new widget, click + Add integration on the Integrations step.
Or,
When editing the existing widget, go to Widgets → select the widget → Integrations and click + Add integration.
Select Beehiiv from the list of apps.
The New Beehiiv integration window opens.
Enter your Beehiiv API key in the corresponding field and click Save.
NOTE:

The Beehiiv access permission does not expire and remains valid unless you revoke it.
If you experience authorization issues, click the pencil icon beside the Beehiiv icon on the integration page and repeat the authorization process.

Proceed with the following instructions below to configure the integration settings.

The New Beehiiv Integration window allows setting up the integration configuration as described below in the following subsections.

When configured, click Done at the bottom of the window.

You can reactivate deleted or unsubscribed subscribers in the Beehiiv account if they subscribe through the Claspo widget.

To reactivate subscribers, enable the Reactivate existing subscribers toggle button.

When visitors to your site subscribe using the Claspo widget, you can send them a welcome email you created in the Beehiiv account.

To enable sending welcome emails to subscribers, activate the Welcome email toggle button.

To connect the widget to a publication, expand the Publications dropdown list and select the publication.

The Field mapping section contains two types of fields:

Widget fields: Those are the contact fields you add when editing a Claspo template. For example, email, first name, last name, phone number.
System fields: Those are the fields depending on the site where a widget is displayed. For example, site language, browser, operation system, device.

To set up the field mapping:

Expand the dropdown lists in the Beehiiv column and select the corresponding values.
Click Show more fields to display and set up all available fields.

To add static fields:

Click + Add static field in the Static fields section.
Enter the field name, and select the corresponding Beehiiv field value from the dropdown list.

Repeat steps 1 and 2 to add more static fields.
