This trigger places a small, unobtrusive launcher on your site. When visitors click it, a widget opens — for example, a form, a discount offer, or a callback request. It works well when you’d rather let people start the interaction themselves.
When and why to use this option
Launcher-based activation works great for:
Newsletter sign-ups without interrupting browsing.
Discount offers that users can open when they’re interested.
Contact forms or callback requests available site-wide.
‘Request demo’ or ‘Ask a question’ buttons that feel natural in the site layout.
Launchers are floating buttons that typically appear in the bottom-right or bottom-left corner of the screen — so they stay visible as users scroll. To optimize visibility and performance:
Choose a position that doesn’t block important content (for example, avoid overlapping live chat).
Keep it consistent across all pages so visitors know where to find it.
Make sure it’s clearly labeled or visually distinct to invite interaction.
This method gives your visitors control — and that often translates into higher quality leads. Instead of showing a popup right away, you offer helpful content exactly when the visitor is ready to see it.
Note
Launchers are still a useful way to let visitors open a widget on demand. However, Claspo also supports teasers, which are a more modern and customer-friendly option. Teasers feel less intrusive and often lead to smoother interactions.
How to set it up
Before configuring the launcher’s behavior, you need to create one and connect it to the widget it will open.
1. Select your widget in Claspo and go to Triggering.
2. Toggle Launcher click-based and click New launcher.
3. Choose a suitable design from the template library and customize it. You can adjust color, text, shape, screen position (bottom-left or bottom-right), animation options, etc.
4. In the Action on click section, click Select widget and choose the widget you want to open.
Once linked and published, the launcher will display on your site and open the selected widget whenever a visitor clicks it.
By default, the launcher:
Appears immediately.
Shows to all visitors, devices, and locations.
Displays every time.
However, you can adjust these conditions if needed. Just go to the Triggering section — Rule-based — click Edit.
