Save
Click Save if you want to store your changes as a draft.
What happens:
Your changes are saved as a draft at the editor level.
The current widget version is not updated, so the active version of the widget remains the same.
Changes are not applied automatically, meaning they are visible only inside the editor and are not applied to the widget itself or shown on your website, even if the widget is already published.
When you open the editor again after clicking Save, the widget preview will display the version without your latest changes.
However, inside the editor, you will see the updated version with your most recent edits.
These changes are saved as a draft and are not applied to the active widget version. If you publish the widget without restoring or applying them, the latest draft changes will not be included.
Save and apply
Click Save and apply if you want all your changes to be saved and applied immediately.
What happens:
Your changes are saved and applied to the widget version, not just stored in the editor.
The widget version inside the editor is updated, making this version the current working version of the widget.
The latest changes open automatically next time, and if you publish the widget, it will be published with these latest changes.
Important
Neither Save nor Save and apply publishes the widget.
To make the widget live on your website:
1. Go to the Widget list
2. Enable Published mode
Only after switching to Published will the widget appear on your site.
In addition
If you click the X (close icon) without saving, the editor will close, and your recent changes will not be saved.
When you open the editor again, you will see a Restore now button in the top-right corner.
If you click Restore now, your latest changes will be restored and applied in the editor. If you do not click it, the widget will open with the last saved version.
