Configure discount codes for game rewards
Click the game component in the editor. We’ll use Spin the wheel as an example. The Rewards section will appear in the panel on the right.
Each reward has:
Chance — how likely the visitor is to win it;
Name — the prize displayed in the game;
Discount — the static code or group of unique codes connected to the reward.
You can use static and unique discount codes in the same game. For example, one reward can provide a shared free-shipping code while another gives each winner an individual percentage discount code.
To edit a reward, hover over it and click the pencil icon. Use the trash icon to remove it or click Add reward to create another prize option.
In the Edit reward panel, set:
the reward Name;
the Discount type — static or unique;
for a unique discount, open the Discount code list and choose:
create a new discount;
a group of unique codes previously created through Claspo.
for a static discount, keep the code generated by Claspo or replace it with an existing Shopify code.
the Discount value — percentage or fixed amount;
an optional Expiration date and time.
Click Done when the reward is ready.
Repeat these steps for the other rewards and then you can change the reward’s Chance directly in the Rewards list.
Note
Once you have configured the rewards, you can replace the game component without losing their names, discount codes, or chances. This lets you test different game mechanics, including in A/B tests, without setting up the rewards again.
Display the winning code on the Reward page
The Promo Code component on the Reward page is linked to the game by default. If a visitor wins 10% off, for example, the component automatically shows the Shopify code assigned to that reward.
Select the Promo Code component to check this setting:
Keep Linked to the game turned on to show the code for the reward the visitor wins.
Turn it off if you want to show one promo code regardless of the game result. You can then configure a separate discount for this component.
Turn on Apply promo code automatically to add the displayed code to the visitor’s Shopify cart when the Reward page appears. This option works with both static and unique codes.
Turn on Count as a target action if clicking the promo code is one of the goals of your widget. Each click will count as a completed target action in the widget results.
