Steps to integrate Brevo account to export data from Claspo

In Claspo you can integrate with your existing Brevo account to use the capabilities provided by both apps.

Adding Brevo integration in Claspo

The following steps are required to integrate your Brevo account with Claspo:

  1. Getting Brevo API key.

  2. Connecting Brevo account.

  3. Configuring Brevo integration settings for the widget.

Getting Brevo API key

To create and copy the API key in Brevo:

  1. Expand the dropdown menu with your company name in the top right-hand corner and select SMTP & API.

  2. Select the API Keys tab and click Generate a new API key.

  3. In the Generate a new API Key pop-up window, enter the API key name in the box and click Generate.

    NOTE
    The API key name must be unique.

  4. Click the copy icon beside the API key and then click OK.

    IMPORTANT
    Save the copied API key. After closing the popup window, you will not be able to view or copy it.

Connecting Brevo account

To connect the Brevo account to Claspo:

  1. When creating a new widget, click + Add integration on the Integrations step.

    Or,
    When editing the existing widget, go to Widgets → select the widget → Integrations and click + Add integration.

  2. Select Brevo from the list of apps.

    The New Brevo integration' pop-up window opens.

  3. Enter your Brevo API key in the corresponding field and click Save.

NOTE

  • The Brevo access permission does not expire and remains valid unless you revoke it.

  • If you experience authorization issues, click the pencil icon beside the Brevo icon in the New Brevo integration window and repeat the authorization process.

Go ahead with the following instructions below to configure the integration settings.

Configuring the Brevo integration settings for the widget

The New Brevo Integration window allows setting up configuration, as described below in the following subsections.

When configured, click Done at the bottom of the window.

Enabling Create contact via DOI

Double opt-in serves as an email marketing technique to validate subscriber sign-ups. Once users submit their email addresses, they receive a confirmation email with a clickable link to confirm their subscription. This process ensures the validity of provided email addresses and verifies subscribers’ genuine interest in receiving communications. By implementing double opt-in, businesses maintain a high-quality email list, reduce spam complaints, and enhance deliverability rates by engaging committed subscribers.

To create contacts using the double opt-in method:

  1. Enable the Create contact via DOI slide button.

  2. Expand the Template dropdown list and select the template in Brevo you want to use for DOI confirmation.

  3. Enter the URL to your confirmation page or website homepage in the Redirection URL field.

Selecting the contacts list

Expand the List dropdown menu and select the list in Brevo where you want to transfer the contact data selected using the Claspo widget.

Setting up Field mapping

The Field mapping section contains two types of fields:

  • Widget fields: Those are the contact fields you add when editing a Claspo template. For example, email, first name, last name, phone number.

  • System fields: Those are the fields depending on the site where a widget is displayed. For example, site language, browser, operation system, device.

To set up the field mapping:

  • Expand the dropdown lists in the Brevo column and select the corresponding values.

  • Click Show more fields to display and set up all available fields.

NOTE

The Email field is required.

Setting up Static fields

To add static fields:

  1. Click + Add static field in the Static fields section.

  2. Enter the field value, and select the corresponding Brevo field value from the dropdown list.

    Repeat steps 1 and 2 to add more static fields.

To delete the static field, click the cross icon (X) on the right-hand side of the mapped fields.

Your Brevo account is now integrated with Claspo and user data from the widget are automatically transferred to the specified Brevo list.

You can edit the Brevo configuration at any time.
