In Claspo you can integrate with your existing Iterable account to use the capabilities provided by both apps.

NOTE: Before proceeding with integration in Claspo, you need to create an API key in the Iterable account.

Adding the Iterable integration in Claspo

Generally, there are two main steps to integrate your Iterable account with Claspo:

  1. Connecting the Iterable account.

  2. Configuring the Iterable integration settings for the widget.

Connecting the Iterable account

You can connect the Iterable account to Claspo when:

  • Creating a new widget, or

  • Adding the new integration for the existing widget.

To connect the Iterable account to Claspo:

  1. When creating a new widget, click + Add integration at the Integrations step.

    Or,

When editing the existing widget, go to Widgets → select the widget → Integrations and click + Add integration.

  2. Select Iterable from the list of apps.

  3. Enter your Iterable API key in the field and click Save.

NOTE:

  • The Iterable access permission does not expire and remains valid unless you revoke it.

  • If you experience authorization issues, click the pencil icon beside the Iterable icon on the integration page and repeat the authorization process.

Proceed with the following instructions to configure the integration settings.

Configuring the Iterable integration settings for a widget

The New Iterable Integration window allows setting up the integration configuration, as described in the following subsections.

When configured, click Done at the bottom of the window.

Selecting the list of subscribers

When a contact subscribes using the Claspo widget, you can send the contact’s data to Iterable and save it in the audience list.

To configure sending the contact’s data to Iterable:

  • Expand the Lists dropdown menu and select the corresponding Iterable list.

Read this article to learn more about lists in Iterable.

Setting up Field mapping

The Field mapping section contains two types of fields:

  • Widget fields: Those are the contact fields you add when editing a Claspo template. For example, email, first name, last name, phone number.

  • System fields: Those are the fields depending on the site where a widget is displayed. For example, site language, browser, operation system, device.

To set up the field mapping:

  • Expand the dropdown lists in the Iterable column and select the corresponding values.

  • Click Show more fields to display all the available fields.

NOTE:

The Email field is required.

NOTE:

To set up mapping for geolocation data, you have to add first the following fields to your Iterable list:

  • Country code

  • Country

  • City

Refer to the Iterable documentation to learn about how to create custom fields.

Setting up Static fields

  1. Enter the value in the Field value column, and select the corresponding Iterable field value from the dropdown list.

  2. Click + Add static field, and repeat step 1 to add more static fields.
