Steps to integrate with the Omnisend account to export data from Claspo

In Claspo you can integrate with your existing Omnisend account to use the capabilities provided by both apps.


NOTE: Before proceeding with integration in Claspo, you need to generate an API key in the Omnisend account.


Adding the Omnisend integration in Claspo

When creating a new widget, you can add a new integration at the Integration step.

Generally, there are two main steps to integrate your Omnisend account with Claspo:

  1. Connecting the Omnisend account.

  2. Configuring the Omnisend integration settings for the widget.

Connecting the Omnisend account

You can connect the Omnisend account to Claspo when:

  • Creating a new widget, or

  • Adding the new integration for the existing widget.

To connect the Omnisend account to Claspo:

  1. When creating a new widget, click + Add integration at the Integrations step.

    Or,

    When adding the new integration to the existing widget, go to Widgets → select the widget → Integrations and click Add integration.

  2. Select Omnisend from the list of apps.

    The 'New Omnisend integration' window opens.

  3. Enter your Omnisend API key in the field and click Save.


Note:

  • The Omnisend access permission does not expire and remains valid unless you revoke it.

  • If you experience authorization issues, click the pencil icon beside the Omnisend icon on the integration page and repeat the authorization process.


Proceed with the following instructions below to configure the integration settings.

Configuring the integration settings for a widget

The New Omnisend Integration window allows setting up the integration configuration as described in the following subsections.

When configured, click Done at the bottom of the window.

Sending the welcome message

You can set up a welcome message in Omnisend and send it to the contacts subscribed using your Claspo subscription form.

To activate sending a welcome message, enable the Send welcome emails button.

Saving the consent data

You can send the consent data to Omnisend collected using the Claspo widget. To do so, proceed as follows:

  1. When creating your widget, add the Data processing and terms of use component to the widget.

  2. When configuring the Omnisend integration, enable Save consent data.

Adding tags

Tags help you to organize and manage your contacts. You can add tags when integrating the Claspo widget with Omnisend.

To add tags:

  1. Click + Add tags.

  2. Type the tag into the field and press Enter.

You can use the entered tag in Omnisend, for example, for filtering the contacts signed up using this widget.

Setting up Field mapping

The Field mapping contains two types of fields:

  • Widget fields: Those are the contact fields you add when editing a Claspo template. For example, email, first name, last name, phone.

  • System fields: Those are the fields depending on the site where a widget is displayed. For example, site language, browser, operation system, device.

To set up the field mapping:

  • Expand the dropdown lists in the Omnisend column and select the corresponding field values.

  • Enable the Send data to custom properties button if you want to send the data from the widget to the Omnisend custom properties.

Configuring Send additional data

You can send additional data about the contact’s location to Omnisend. To do so, enable the slide button beside some or all options:

  • Country

  • City

  • Country code

Adding static fields

  1. Click + Add static field, enter the field value, and select the corresponding Omnisend field value from the dropdown list.

  2. Repeat step 1 to add more static fields.
