In Claspo you can integrate with your existing MailBluster account to use the capabilities provided by both apps.

There are two main steps to integrate your MailBluster account with Claspo:

  1. Connecting the MailBluster account.

  2. Configuring the MailBluster integration settings for the widget.

Connecting the MailBluster account

You can connect the MailBluster account to Claspo when:

  • Creating a new widget, or

  • Adding the new integration for the existing widget.

NOTE:

You need to create an API key in MailBluster to proceed with integration. To learn how to create an API key, read MailBluster API documentation.

To connect the MailBluster account to Claspo:

  1. When creating a new widget, click + Add integration at the Integrations step.

    Or,
When editing the existing widget, go to Widgets β†’ select the widget β†’ Integrations and click + Add integration.

  2. Select MailBluster from the list of apps.

The New MailBluster integration window opens.

  3. Enter your MailBluster API key in the field and click Save.

Note:

  • The MailBluster access permission does not expire and remains valid unless you revoke it.

  • If you experience authorization issues, click the pencil icon beside the MailBluster icon on the integration page and repeat the authorization process.

Proceed with the following instructions below to configure the integration settings.

Configuring the MailBluster integration settings for a widget

The New MailBluster Integration window allows setting up the integration configuration as described below in the following subsections.

When configured, click Done at the bottom of the window.

Enabling Double opt-in email

Double opt-in is used in email marketing to verify the authenticity of subscriber sign-ups. After users submit their email addresses, they receive a confirmation email containing a link that they must click to confirm their subscription.

This process ensures that the provided email addresses are valid and that subscribers genuinely intend to receive communications.

Double opt-in helps businesses maintain a high-quality email list, reduces the likelihood of spam complaints, and improves deliverability rates by ensuring engaged subscribers.

To activate the double opt-in option, enable the Double opt-in email slide button.

NOTE:

  • If you enable this option, you need to set up Double opt-in in MailBluster. Navigate to this article for details.

  • For setting up Double opt-in in MailBluster, you also need to connect your AWS account with MailBluster. To learn how to do that, read this article.

Overwriting existing leads

The Overwrite existing leads option enhances lead management by ensuring data accuracy and preventing duplicate entries.

When initiating the creation of a new lead, the system first conducts a search based on the provided email address to check for existing records. If a matching lead is identified, the system offers the option to overwrite its information with the new data.

If no matching lead is found, the system proceeds with creating a new entry.

Where overwriting is not possible, the system gives an error message.

To activate the leads overwriting option, enable the Overwrite existing leads button.

Adding tags

Tags help you to organize and manage your contacts.

To add tags when integrating the Claspo widget with MailBluster:

  1. Click + Add tags.

  2. Type the tag name into the field and press Enter.

You can use the entered tag in MailBluster, for example, for filtering the contacts signed up using this widget.

Setting up field mapping

The Field mapping section contains two types of fields:

  • Widget fields: Those are the contact fields you add when editing a Claspo template. For example, email, first name, last name, phone number.

  • System fields: Those are the fields depending on the site where a widget is displayed. For example, site language, browser, operation system, device.

To set up the field mapping:

  • Expand the dropdown lists in the MailBluster column and select the corresponding values.

  • Click Show more fields to display all the available fields.

NOTE:

The Email field is required.

Setting up Static fields

To add static fields:

  1. Click + Add static field in the Static fields section.

  2. Enter the field value in the Field value column, and select the corresponding MailBluster field value from the dropdown list.

To add more static fields, click + Add static field, and repeat step 2.
